It's important to eat at least 1,200 calories and 50-90g of protein daily (perhaps more if you are male or very active), even if you are trying to lose weight. This will keep your metabolism burning effectively and prevent starvation mode from being triggered. In starvation mode your body holds on to excess weight to protect from famine. Eat enough calories and protein to avoid this.
Clean meats, avocados, and brown rice pastas are great sources of extra calories.
This is NOT a calorie-restrictive program, but stay mindful of any snacking! ;-)
