I finished Clean Gut, now what do I do?
CLEAN GUT ROADMAP
What to do when you’ve finished the program
THREE PATHS TO TAKE
Now that you’ve finished the program, choose the statement below that best describes you, and follow the recommendations.
YOU FEEL GOOD AND WANT TO CONTINUE DOING CLEAN GUT
Take it week by week
After your first twenty-one days, if you feel good and want more, continue Clean Gut and take it one week at a time. This means continue with the program you’ve been following: eat from the Gut Diet, follow the Shake-Meal-Salad protocol, and take your supplements. Continue on the program for as long as you like but after 2 programs or six weeks, remove the Gut Clear supplement from your daily protocol for a few weeks. At the end of each week, send us an email at email@example.com and let us know how you’re doing. We can decide together if continuing on is the best option.
YOU AREN’T FEELING GREAT, AND YOU’RE NOT SURE WHY
If you’ve finished your program and feel worse than when you started, or are having some major health challenges, you have discovered something very important. Sometimes, the program itself uncovers some deeper health challenges that were lying under the surface. This is an opportunity to dig deeper by working with a functional medicine doctor. With the help of a functional medicine doctor and some additional testing, you will get closer to the root of your health issue. We recommend you continue with the Gut Diet while you find a health practitioner to work with.
Here are the next steps to help you get to the root of your issue:
1. Find a functional medicine doctor in your area. Functional medicine is an evolution in the practice of medicine that better addresses the healthcare needs of the 21st century. Functional medicine doctors can give you the care and attention necessary to get to the root of your health challenges. You can find a functional medicine doctor in your area at functionalmedicine.org.
2. Get tested. There are many tests not commonly used by regular doctors that can help give you a better picture of your current state of health. A functional medicine doctor can use these tests to help you dig deeper and find out why you aren’t feeling well.
A functional medicine doctor can use the following tests to check for parasites, yeast and fungus in the gut and heavy metal toxicity:
Gastrointestinal Profile: a stool test done to check for gut health.
SIBO Test: Checks for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.
Heavy Metals Profile: a urine test done to check for heavy metal toxicity.
